Instead of bombarding you with costs for trekking to Everest Base Camp trek and returning to Chhukung, the village before Island Peak Base Camp, we only charge you for the island Peak climbing part. How it works? Well, first up we meet upon your arrival in Nepal. After transferring you to your own booked hotel, we collect the necessary documents required for your Island Peak Climbing permit as well as the final payment. The next day we hold a detailed climbing briefing and preparation course, either at the hotel or at our office located in Thamel. Making sure you have all the required gear and equipment for the summit climb of Island Peak is the target of the day. Although not included Beyond the Limits can also organize any type of sightseeing tour in Kathmandu during this day as well.
Having checked all the gear, equipment and having your permits ready, we meet back up at Chhukung village. Enjoy the Everest Base Camp trail by yourself without overpaying for lodge, meals etc. Our Beyond the Limits trekking and climbing guide will be already awaiting your arrival at Chhukung village! Island Peak:
After meeting up with the team in Chhukung we prepare for a short but steep trek up to Island Peak Base Camp. Here we set up camp and hold a final gear check as well as a climbing training session. Island peak is not technical such as the Lobuche Peak but still uses ladders ascenders with safety ropes. During our training day at Island Peak Base Camp, our Beyond the Limits team will make sure that you are properly educated in the use of the equipment to make a comfortable and successful ascend to the top of Island Peak at 6,189m/20,305ft.
The summit of Island Peak can be reached within a day. We start as early as possible with the climb and traverse ice crevices, steep ridges and make use of the preset safety ropes guiding us to the top. Once at the summit we take a well-deserved break sitting at 6,189m/20,305ft! Incredible views of the following mountains come in view;

Having enjoyed those amazing 360° views from the summit of Island Peak it’s time to start descending. While easier we still take our time to head back for Base Camp. you will overnight to Base camp. note that some people who are stronger or return to Base camp earlier you can set out to chhukung and overnight in Lodge.
if you sleep in island peak Base camp . next morning you will set out to Chhukung .our porters help to carry your gear back to Chhukung where we end the trip.you will have thans giving to trekking to climbing crews and free from program. Feel free to explore the Everest region further, to the west you can reach the Gokyo Lakes, and to the north is the famous Everest Base Camp.
