Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek the challenging Trek around the seventh tallest mountain in the world which is situated towards North West of the beautiful city of Pokhara. This is one of the most challenging and exciting trekking routes in Nepal. The view of the deep gorge of the Kali Gandaki River between these two 8000m mountains allures every trekker in this region. You can also see the beautiful view of the Tukche Peak, Gurja Himal, Machhapuchhre (6996m.), Nilgiri (7061m.), Dhampus Peak, Annapurna I, Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri Range, II, III, Iv, etc. during the trek. Along with the Natural scenery and vistas of the Himalayas, the culture is of the ethnic inhabitants of this region like Magar, Gurung, Thakali, etc with their hospitality provides further pleasure to the trekkers.

Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is the adventurous trek around Mt. Dhaulagiri which involves the crossing of the two high passes French Pass (5240m) and Dhampus Pass (5155m).

In this trek, you have to walk over snow and glaciers most at least 3/4 days. Trekking to Dhaulagiri takes you to the ungraded trekking area which provides the opportunity to explore the pristine natural beauty and cultural grandeur as well as the stunning mountain vistas. During the Dhaulagiri trek, you can see the dramatic view of the two over 8000m mountains Annapurna and Dhaulagiri facing each other

The best season to go for the Dhaulagiri circuit trek is from March to May and August to November.

Itinerary

The challenging Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek begins from Beni after a 7/8 hours drive from Kathmandu, you can directly drive to Beni from Kathmandu. Then you follow the bank of the Myagdi Khola (river) and traverse through the peaceful forest with various flora and fauna and wild animals and birds, picturesque Gurung and Magar villages with the emerald terraced farm, ever-changing landscapes as well as the snow-covered trail to the Base camp of the Mt. Dhaulagiri enjoying views of the Dhaulagiri Massif.

In the villages, you can explore their lifestyle and culture. From the base camp, you had to cross the French pass and enter the hidden valley. From the pass, you can enjoy the views of the mountains and the beautiful hidden valley. You also cross the Dhampus pass from the valley and finally reach the Jomsom from where you take the flight back to Pokhara.

Taking proper acclimatization you will move ahead passing the initial glacier by using ropes in a tricky spot. Then, you will ascend the core glacier. You will be welcomed by remarkable surroundings filled with rough and risky trails but you will be guided by our experienced trail with full safety. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

This is the concluding day when you will be departure from the program. Before that, you will be transferred to the TIA, Kathmandu safely and affectionately. From TIA, you can catch the flight towards your home town or go for the next package. It’s glad to be part of your adventure.

You will drive towards Kathmandu city after having breakfast. Again the pictorial scene will take you to Kathmandu and you will check into the hotel. Stay overnight in a hotel.

From Jomsom, you will catch the  Ground transportation to Pokhara about 6/7 hours drive to Pokhara. this drive is exciting and unique.I t is a beautiful landscape. there is the flight from Jomsom to Pokhara also if you like to fly to Pokhara let us know Stay overnight in a hotel in Pokhara    

On the following day, you will set out to trek Jomsom, the mesmerizing destination. Jomsom is considered the perfect spot to carry out the trek. Walking for 5 to 6 hours will bring you all the attractions of Jomsom. Stay overnight in tLodge

On the following day, you will start to trek Yak Kharka which is also known as Alu Bari. You will appreciate the nearby peaks and maybe you will explore the surroundings. You will cross Dhampus Pass and then spend the day after 5 to 6 hours of trek. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

On the next day, you will trek above the base camp which asks for rope but when you are over the vertical moraine walls you are said to be harmless. Then, the puffing ascend will take you to the top of French Pass. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

This is counted as another acclimatization day designed for your safety. Today you will take proper rest and follow the instructions given by the guide. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Today you will arrive at the Dhaulagiri Base Camp after you continue the trek from Glacier Camp. Quickly the uneven rubble offers a trail to the smooth ice of the white part of the glacier. You will ascend progressively to the bumpy and alarming but mighty Dhaulagiri Base Camp. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

On this particular day, you will land on Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu where you will be warmly received by the representative staffs from Beyond the Limits Treks and Expedition. From TIA, you will be transferred to the hotel. After checking in hotel Our Trek Manager will brief you shortly about the upcoming trekking program, we will discuss on the detailed itinerary. Stay overnight in Hotel 

This is the day supposed to be a rest day where you will stay and have rest. But if you wish you can stroll towards the Japanese camp for acclimatization as there is scope for exploration. The day after today you will experience a difficult trek so you will take enough rest. Stay overnight in Teahouse

Today you will continue the trek to Italian Base Camp where you will set the camp in front of the West wall of Dhaulagiri. Crossing all through the attractive forest you will speedily seize altitude and bursting mountains. Stay overnight in the teahouse

On the following day, you will pass the wooden bridge of Dobang, taking ascend. Then, the west section of Dhaulagiri I will come to notice. Taking downward to Myagdi Khola and passing through the wooden bridge towards the eastern bank. Again crossing the forest you will move ahead through the rocky area and the stream will take you to Choriban Khola. Stay overnight in a Teahouse

On the next day, you will trek from Boghara to Doban after having breakfast. Here, you will come across an adventurous trail, and most of the time you may walk carefully. Stay overnight in Teahouse

 

Leaving Muri you will start to trek Boghara where you will find the trekking easy. After that you will take a downhill for some hours then you will arrive at Boghara. Then, you will ascend through a vertical trail which will take you to Boghara. Stay overnight in a Teahouse

On the following day, you will continue the trek moving towards Muri situated at an elevation of 1,850 meters. The trek will make you walk for 5 to 6 hours. The trekking trail will make you take a vertical ascend where you can perceive Mount Dhaulagiri along with other mountains. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

After striking Breakfast in the Hotel in Kathmandu on this day you will be all set to Darbang and it will take 8 hours by bus. Darbang will nicely depict the pastoral life which is different from the lifestyle of Kathmandu. Arriving at Darbang you can stay in the Tea house.

This is an important day for your trek to start where you get to sightseeing Kathmandu in with the proper guidance of our guide. Since you have lots of things to the sightseeing we will be heading in the early morning. There used to be an artistic and valuable Durbar Square, at present those monuments are in a critical state though it is equally valued. In Kathmandu, you can observe numerous cultural heritage sites that are listed in UNESCO, including Swyambhunath, Bouddhanath, and Pashupatinath. Stay overnight in a hotel.
